Seems to be the same style they've issued for the History RSR too, nice & simplified. I think I saw somewhere the SEC had released a circular saying they'd taken on feedback for the online projects & were making the documents more user friendly

That's exactly what I did last year when I had a few & there were no issues. Some schools didn't even come looking for the P3 Form. Hopefully it'll be alright but just want to make sure so the students don't waste their time & money really.

Hi Gerry, thanks a lot for the Mock! For Horace last year I used the resources uploaded here on the CAIT website to guide what I was gonna go through with them. I'd never taught him before so hadn't got a clue. The sample paper asked to refer to two poems but I went through 7/8 with my guys last year & just had them pick out examples of living well or fate/free will from those poems. Here are a few that I went through, again I didn't have them learn them off or anything. Just asked students to make notes of good quotes they think they'd remember that reflect Horace's values: Gather ye Rosebuds Enjoy The Present Hour We All Must Die Cease to Mourn The Good Man Need Fear Nothing Enjoy Your Possession While They Are Yours Ode to Spring A Quiet Life Rustic Joys I used the 'Latin Literature' book on Kindle for the poems but apparently there's a better translation available but can't remember the name of the book. With no prescribed translations or versions I'm assuming the SEC have to accept whatever version students have studied anyways, I hope! Hope that helps!

Hey Derek, cheers for the list - already robbed a few! The "24 Hours in Ancient Athens/Rome/Egypt" books by Philip Matyszak are pretty decent for just a brief overview of daily life. For something a little more challenging but not massively academic, for the most part, Mary Beard's books are decent. Can be a little challenging at times to be fair, but depending on the student they might be able to manage. Hope that helps! Cheers, Simon
