Does anyone have, or know of, any sample answers for the new LC course? Particularly any for the essay type answers that illustrate highly developed points?
Thank you for the explanation. Much appreciated. It will definitely help prepare my students going forward. Fingers crossed some sample answers will appear to make the guidelines more concrete and tangible for them. Thanks again, and a Happy Christmas to you.
I have exemplars of student work, but haven't been given permission to share outside my own classroom, unfortunately. But, I reckon (based on the marking scheme and previous students' essays) that excellent essays always will look like a partially completed English essay. No intro or conclusion, but 4 clear points/paragraphs, making distinct points that relate back to the question and to each other. Each point includes a minimum of three pieces of relevant evidence, analysed or discussed, before each point is summed up. It's not always so easy as that, but generally that's what to expect from a top end student. (At least all my H1 students wrote essays like that).
